On a former industrial site in Arnhem, a subtle yet bold design was revealed by Fokkema & Partners to the global accountancy, tax and advisory firm EY. This will be the new office of EY Arnhem. With relocating to this site they become a part of the forward thinking sustainable and innovative community at the cleantech campus IPKW (Industriepark Kleefse Waard).
The old factory building originates from the 1940’s and is characterized by its spacious floorplates with large columns and ample ceiling height. Fokkema & Partners Architecten developed an inspiring, representative and dynamic design in close collaboration with the user. A challenging task as the building depth from façade to façade measures 30 meters. The well-considered lay-out results in a comfortable work environment in line with the global EY@work principles with optimal use of daylight. New installation and materialization concepts attribute to an overall self-evident, yet exiting sustainable and circular office environment.
The transformation of the space is scheduled to be completed before the end of 2018.
