This week the team of Fokkema & Partners celebrated the opening of the Stadhuis Campus in Tiel, together with its three users: the Municipality of Tiel, Werkzaak Rivierenland and UWV.

Two monumental buildings and the city hall, situated around a partially monumental garden, were transformed into an open, welcoming and flexible Campus. The new interior reflects Tiel's surroundings with colours derived from nature and the four seasons. The interior supports the different identities of the three users, that share their public service desks, work environment and meeting rooms.

Highlights in the new interior are the unique hand-carved oak tables and hand-embroidered felt wall panels, made by woodworkers and craftsmen from the social workshops of Werkzaak Rivierenland. They represent the themes of the river landscape, fruit gardening and the Betuwe. The tables and panels got a prominent position in the Stadhuis Campus' shared meeting spaces.

More project photos will be published in the beginning of 2017.
