Design of a work environment is about much more than implementing activity based working or the translation of a program into a clever layout. It is about much more than a profound understanding of materialisation and detail and it is allways with consideration for healthy working and achieving the optimal solution in terms of sustainability. Only through experienced analyses of a design task the full potential of a design for an office can be reached.

 

In an interview with Architectenweb, Laura Atsma elaborates on the way of working at Fokkema & Partners. She talks about being bold, understanding underlying questions and translating the corporate identity. It is about emotion and making a design that makes people feel good, free and welcome.
